That was a grouse weekend.:D Great to finaly put names to faces.Pity about the feral mob on the other side of the lake and the dust. Those dirt bikes that buzzed through the camp were a F%#king pain in the arse.Caused a couple of attendees to leave.
I was there on Thursday night and was entertained:mad: by the sound of Johny Cash at full noise and dirt bikes to well after midnight courtesty of the mob on the other side of the lake.
Friday went for a look see at a few tracks.Haggis who was leading our group picked up a hitch hiker and soon anounced there was a shorty 45 landcuirser on it side on steep track. Not a real steep track but plenty of options to get into trouble.A whole bunch of us soon heaved the shorty back on it wheels. It was then started no probs and continued up steep track.
Saturday I with a few others tackled steep track.I took the scenic route while those with big toys tackled the hard track. Then it was Phone track. No scenic route with this track.A very big thanks to all who aided in geting the truck up over that last rock section. With a bit if track building a whole lot of pure arse luck and some good guidance I drove the whole track with out being winched.Wich was not a bad effort for a open diif 4wd and standard flex.Shorty MQ provide the group with a winching excercise that was eventualy sucessufull. Then there was a track with a fairly steep hill that PJ Zook got all all 4 wheels arbourne on.Then a bit further on there was a bit of track clearing done as there was a tree across the track.Saturday night was a bit of a getting even in the noise with the feral nieghbors across the lake. The younger members of the group certainly rose to the challange.
Sunday was for me pack up a head home.As said a grouse week end.great bunch of people.
Cheers
