snorkel for Suzuki XL 7

G'day - anybody tried fitting a store bought snorkel to an XL 7 with cruise control (right in the way)??:thumb:

Store bought? What model was the snorkel for?

How is your cruise control in the way? Mine is mounted over the passenger side and all the XL-7 snorkels I've seen are mounted on the driver side where the airfilter box is.

eg. Offroad

The cruise control is on the opposite side to the snorkel and the airbox!!!

thanks for the tips, however, my cruise is certainly fitted on the driver side, together with the ABS system - I could move the cruise I suppose, but the ABS is hard plumbed - neat looking fitment in those photos - many thanks:crazy:

some enlightenment on XL 7 snorkels please - am I correct in believing the feeder pipe for the snorkel runs between the inner and outer guard, to meet the air box intake in the inner guard????

I should change my e-name to "old fool" - I just took the inner guard off the driver's side and found that, obviously, the snorkel pipe runs inside the guard!!!doh!

Yes, even with your cruise over there it shouldn't make any difference to fitting a snorkel. I had my inner guard off yesterday when finishing the fog lights off and it looks like it would be an easy job to hook a snorkel up.

who is the snorkel from and why does it not have instructions??

I haven't bought it yet - am thinking of 4wd systems in Gillies Plains SA - it would be cheaper if I could find a Sydney retailer.

to my info the airflow snorkel goes into the engine bay at the back so it only fits GV/XL7s with no abs and it was not made for them in the first place.

This is the only snorkel in Aus that fits every GV/XL7....









I would love to see a PIC of this snorkel if it is not by airflow??

I just tried to get a pic of the airflow snorkel for the gv and it seems they do not do it anymore??

Ps. the white XL7 is from the Nsw Suzuki club and others in the club also have this snorkel.
