Hi there I have a 2005 Tj 76000 kms, six speed gearbox, 4 inch lift, diffs fitted with lower ratio gears (not 100% sure of gearing), all done by previous owner. It goes through the gears relatively well but top end wont rev past 3 grand. It struggles to stay on 110 kph in 5th and if in 6th with a head wind I may as well get out and push. I have fitted a snorkel with a higher volume air cleaner system thinking it may be a breathing problem, but that made very little difference. It also has headers. I am thinking that my next step might be fuel filter and then throttle positioning sensor, I'm also considering a larger aftermarket throttle body. I believe with the lower gearing this thing should scream. If anyone out there has had a similar problem please give me your thoughts. cheers and thanks.
