Any ideas to help with my TJ's massive Fuel use Problem?

Unread post by jeepzilla » April 18th, 2012, 1:02 pm

Hey

I have a 2005 jeep tj that seems to be going through fuel at a fast rate and i have had it looked at my a mechanic and he said theres nothing wrong with it.

But there is a hugh problem i am only getting 200km to a tank when i should be getting around 450km to a tank. I have no modification to my car yet.

So i am seeking some help from some jeep lovers to help me find out whats wrong with my jeep. All help would be great

Cheers justin

i dont know what u have done to fix this yet but the normal colptrets would be tyre size and a bad fuel fillter. Your driving style comes into play with a tj but hey i would'nt drive anything but a tj.

200Km to a 70L tank :boggle:
That's not good news for someone wanting to strat the jeep thing for a daily driver for work to travel the 50km a day I travel from 1 side of town to the other and back again averaging 20L/100 in my pathy.
But you are getting 35L/100 there. :irked:
