Does the colorado have a DPF

Can someone please tell me if a 2010 Holden Colorado has a Diesel Particulate Filter.
Have done searches on here and the net but cant really find anything.
Was getting car serviced today and they said have not been using the right oil ( I do my own 5000km oil changes ).
Have been using Castrol GTX Diesel 15w-40.
What oil do you run ?

Help me please

Re: Does the colorado have a DPF

They certainly dont. And when they say 'wrong oil' its only bad for the dpf systems, its a joke. Oil thats good for dpf is NOT that good for your engine. Anyway without going into that, that oil wont hurt your engine at all. I use magnatec pro 15w40 which is the same as gtx but i think the gtx isnt synthetic fortified, which doesnt really matter. dependant on how hard you drive and the frequency and distance and speed of your trips... hope this helps

Thanks guys am very happy to hear that they dont have a DPF.

So what oil would you all recommend without having to rob a bank,
after doing a little research I might look at penrite for my next oil change

I use mobil 1 td truck oil 10w40, its full syn and it gets oil pressure uber fast.
my brother uses nulon high protection diesel 15w 40 and has 155,000km on his and its going strong

Hi, I own and operate a workshop and we have about 20 colorados on our books plus I have one.
We are using Penrite Diesel 15, and Diesel 5 on the newer ones, couple of the older ones have now done over 200,000kms and going strong, no oil use so take your pick either wont do any harm.
