1) people who pull out in front of you and then not get up to speed quick enough which forces you to slow down
and a lot worse than the 1st one
2) the DH who pulls out behind that guy just cos he thinks one more car length won't be an issue............

I hate the local guy who drives one of those shiny black Hummers with all that hideous Chrome work and the low profiles thinking that every other normal 4W driver is jealous of him. The only dirt that thing has seen is in his driveway. :irked: :D

Please viking, there's no dirt on their driveway, if the driveway was dirty they would have to clean their rims.

Lol true Oversite. He actually has got a road base driveway but I bet he crawls like a snail on it. Don't want to dull up all that practical (NOT) Crome work. AND before anyone says I'm being a bit hard, I've met the guy at a BBQ and OMG is he a proverbial wanker. (can I say wanker?) He refused all offers to join us up in the Watagans with an array of excuses. Wouldn't bother me so much but he still stands there and tells you it would out perform all the Cruisers and Patrols any day. Sheeeesh! :D

Slow drivers in right lane it drives me up the wall. We finally have dual lanes in K town the slow drivers are having a field day.

People who book the window seat on the plane knowing dam well they need to go to the toilet every 5 minutes there for it means I'm getting up every 5 minutes.

People who do 80 in a 60 zone and 60 in an 80 zone! Never ceases to amaze me... maybe they're dyslexic.

people who do not respect the white lines - parallel parking hogs, or crossing the double solid lines all the way around a blind bend.
Trucks, or cars towing heavy trailers, that tailgate you. Cruising for a bruising.
On pension day, too much slow traffic heading to the shops.
Police who lay in wait at the bottom of steep downhills with their radar guns. If your brake pads dont wear out by the time you reach the bottom of the hill, you'll be right!
You drive on a winding road on a bright sunny day and you wear out the hinge of the sun visor!
No cars ever have sun visors long enough to protect your neck from the sun on a long drive.
P-Platers driving cars worth over $100,000.

Oooooohhhh...ok guys, time to take a chill pill & I think you all should line up & I'll do your blood pressure, O2 sats, ECG, Blood sugars & bloods. Sorry, prostate checks not included.

Have to agree with a lot of what's been said in this forum, 99.9% of cyclists have a death wish...try the Great Ocean Road or any of the wind-y Otway Ranges roads, nothing like bearing down on them with the engine brakes, dd loved the panicked look on their faces as they pedalled faster. Sick of having to go over double lines to get past them.

Speed cameras...I got called in for an emergency caesarean 2 weeks ago & got stung for doing a perceived 57 in a 50 zone...at 3.37am!!! $176 thanks very much. Bastards, they should die!!!

Reduced speed limits in road works areas when no road works being done.....try 80 down the westgate freeway....including a section with a speed camera adjusted accordingly.

QLD roundabouts. Umm which lane is WHAT? I'm in the left turn lane? Again? Far out!

Aggressive, intolerant drivers regardless of whether they're men or women drivers, religion or culture. We all have bad days. There are just sooo many cars on the road these days, & sorry, but we have to share. However, driver retesting should be mandatory with licence renewal to keep us up to date with road rules, that would see a few stragglers put off the road.

People who make bad judgement calls when overtaking. I've had about 3 near misses the last couple of months because of drivers who've pulled out & overtaken without sufficient room. Especial thanks to the Melbourne bound male driver late Sept who overtook in my path on the Winchelsea bridge crossing double lines. Good thing I pulled off the road & stopped to let him through.

School car parks. Why is that a couple have a baby & automatically buy an AWD? Like it's programmed into them. Some of these women have literally no idea how to competently drive these vehicles, let alone parallel park them. They're a danger to every other vehicle/child when entering/ exiting school car parks. I loved the story of the mother who had a gutful of all the women driving awd's at her kids school that she turned up one day driving a tractor. Hahhhahaha!!!!!!!

I have to second the reduced speed limits in roadwork zones where the road is fine and there is nobody working. Im happy to slow down for workers but there are 9 roadwork zones between casino and tenterfield (monday), and there are people at 3 of them and the road is perfect (and I mean perfect) at 4 more.

Its having signs up for no reason that makes people drive faster in real roadwork zones!

people that tow anything 20km under the speed limit

people that smoke in there car with children in them

people that tail gate me and force me to slam my breaks on

people that drive with the fog lights.

and people that drive about 100m behind me with there high beams on

OK, thread has been cleaned to remove the kindergarten bickering and the tit for tat spats & baitch slapping!

If you can't post politely &/or without making personal attacks then it's a much better idea NOT to post at all in this thread (or any others on this Forum for that matter!) It's the 'pet hates' thread, it is intended as a place where you can have a whinge about the things that annoy you on the road without getting all twisted about it. It is not aimed specifically at you or your buddies or any individual who does anything in particular or even wears different clothes to others; and posts that do target specific individuals for any reason will probably earn the poster some time off, so do not take any posts that way and definitely do not post in retaliation for the perceived offence against your person! If you believe something is aimed at you specifically as an individual, report the thread & send me a PM explaining why.

So please, play noice, and if you can't then we can arrange some time out!

I do a bit of driving in the Eastern Goldfields region of WA, when driving at night and sitting on the speed limit and you come up on somebody sitting on 90-100, all is good until you overtake them and 100 kays down the road the person I passed is still 50 meters behind me. Even if I speed up to 140 they are still there. So I slow down to 80 then they overtake me and return to sitting on 90-100 Kph.
It is bloody annoying to have someone sitting behind you for an hour or more because they don't have the ability or intelligence to sit on their own speed that they feel safe doing. Most of them get the message when they get 600 watts in their rear vision mirror.

Motorcyclists that think that road shoulders are their own personal lane.

Motorcyclists that think its OK to overtake you in the same lane.

Motorcyclists that think speed limits don't apply to them.

Motorcyclists that think they don't need to wait in traffic like everyone else.
