Somewhere close to melb to show the basics

Unread post by boobook » February 2nd, 2015, 6:33 pm

I am taking a group of friends who all have good 4wds on a weekend trip in a few weeks. Some moderate 4wding with some tricky sections. None have much training experience.

I have pointed them to a few youtube videos, made them buy AT's and snatch straps but would like to have a mini training session a week or two before we go so they know what to expect.

Unfortunately the courses are booked out. Does anyone know a place close to Melbourne where there are a few gnarly spots and relatively steep hills that would make a nice little mini training ground? Obviously Gembrook is ok but non of them have a 24" lift and 48" tyres so the ruts may kill them ( and me).

Thanks in advance.

Willow Grove, Moe South and that general area has plenty of what your looking for and it's only about an hour and 15 mins away from Melb
