Do I need to be in 2H when hubs are unlocked?

Unread post by milky4x4 » October 24th, 2014, 11:03 pm

Hi I'm completely new to 4wding and wanted some advice on using the 4WD shifter.

I have an 1985 MItsubishi L200 4WD with manual locking hubs. When my hubs are unlocked, do I need to have the 4wd shifter in 2H, or it doesn't matter?

Thanks

it doesnt matter although you will be unesacarily spinning the front drive shaft and the diff components and using up fuel and adding wear to those bits as well....
