im running them with standard leaves and EFS shocks. Lifted it 50mm

No complaints. It flexs up very nicely

Re: snake racing 50mm lift Shackles

if anything id say they lift it to much as the front cant go up high enough to look flat without hitting the bump stops

Re: snake racing 50mm lift Shackles

50mm extended shackles should give around 25mm lift.
If you install 50mm shackles, and your gaining the full 50mm lift, then your shackle angle isnt correct and your ride it going to be super rough.

The ultimate shackle angle is 45 degrees, this way you get full suspension movement. 90 degree shackle angles may look cool, but dont allow the leaves to move as they should.

You will get bugger all flex out of 90 degree shackle angles.

the snake racing extended shackles are 75mm longer and give you 50mm lift.

i have very small amount of shudder, unless i mention it to other people they wouldn't notice it

Re: snake racing 50mm lift Shackles

That makes more sense then
I installed 50mm shackles for a 25mm lift. Didn't need to go higher to fit my tires. I would only go as big as you have to with shackles.

Re: snake racing 50mm lift Shackles

when i lifted mine i used springs so angle would be slightly different to yours but mine shuddered heaps. i lowered the centre bearing on tail shaft like you did and still did it bad. i spent about an hour lining the tail shaft up better got it pretty good and only has a very slight shudder now. i have read some where that bt50s should have a re call on the alinment of gear box or some thing but doubt that will happen. also read some where else about a guy that went to the extent of loosing engine mounts and gear box mounts a tweeking the alinement himself and that cured it.

Re: snake racing 50mm lift Shackles

Does this shudder still happen with 50mm raised leaves or just with extended shackles?
