Speaker Sizes

Unread post by tjscougs89 » December 8th, 2009, 5:54 am

Anyone got any ideas of the speaker sizes in my bt50 freestyle cab.
And aswell maybe the wiring loom diagram for the back of the head unit?

Cheers.

Doors are 5 1/4" (or around there) but you can fit 6 1/2" speakers in by removing the plastic mounting bracket and making a ring out of MDF to mount the speaker. The tweeters are tiny, I fitted some Soundstream SPL speakers and had to cut out a lot of the back of the tweeter mount to fit them in. Looks fine once put back together however.
As for wiring, just buy an adapter cable for $10 (approx). Makes life much easier. :)

(Assumption: SDX model)

Look in the Courier section, there's a thread in there about rear door speakers...
Old enough to know better, young enough to do it again...

Where did you get the wiring harness and was it just a connector to labeled wires or was it ISO?

You can fit some 6.5's in the front.
I went to put my Alpine Type R's in last week but the magnets were a touch too large and they fouled the window channel.
