Bought my ute about 4 months ago from its first owner, was pretty stock when i bought it, since then I've lifted it, fitted my toolboxes for work, fitted my ARB deluxe bullbar and lights, would have preffered a xrox bar but far north queensland has to many roos to not have full frontal protection, blocked my egr off and fitted some 265/75/16's

I'm planning on fitting:
30mm body lift
ironman snorkel (cheapest on the market)
DEA 3'' exhaust (Hi flow cat no muffler)
A roof rack from 4wd supa centre
12,000lb wince from 4wd supa centre
will be removing the old facia and replacing it with the double din facia from ebay
will be looking into a front locker
will be trying to fit some 285's will be able to after body lift, changing my rim offset and a little bit of inner guard maneuvering hopefully

Hi ChappyGuy, did you notice any benefits with blocking the EGR valve? Have heard several opinions on the topic I'm also interested in how the 30mm body lift goes

Cheers

RangerDanger95

maybe a tiny bit of extra pick up but nothing crazy, mainly did it for the longevity of the engine, will update you when I've done the body lift

To Robbo 1993 - Not sure how I missed this reply. Yes if I do this again & I will I will be using aluminium panels for the drawers etc. Also when my only child moves out I will be giving some serious consideration to reclaiming the rear seat as you have.

Lets keep each other posted and thanks for the compliment. Matt.

Hey guys, here is my 08 BT/50. Got it stock couple years ago. I have done the following mods since then.
ARB bullbar rails and sidesteps.
OME 2" lift.
Safari snorkel.
16x8 wheels with 265/75/16 BFG mud tyres
Planning on a winch, driving lights and a couple other things to make it more of a tourer.

ChappyGuy,

Hmmm a bit too much chop n hack n adjust & repeat till you get it right - it would appear that our model Ford & Mazda look to be one of the hardest to body lift? Have you had any issues since you did it?

Cheers for getting back to me anyway much appreciated. KemosRanger

Yeah I didn't have to much trouble doing mine, did it over the course of a weekend however I only did the 30mm lift, had to modify the bulbbar to fit again but that was it in the modifying department, changed the bottom hose for the radiator and that was it really, and I've had no problems since the lift, can't even feel any more body roll

ChappyGuy, thanks again for your response. I just reread that whole thread again and reckon when the time comes i will give it a go. There is heaps of info in the thread, just have to read it and take notes. Reckon I will go Supreme Engeering or Superior whichever one it is for the 50mm lift.

Don't worry when it's done you lot will be the first to know.

Oh yeah qbzor I really like your truck mate and I love the scrap bar on the front. Let's face it 95% of the time we just need a place to hang the spotties.
