What's covered in the 200K Service Schedule?

Unread post by Ranger 4x4 Life » May 28th, 2018, 10:05 pm

Hey, does any know what's covered in the 200k service? The book only gives details up to 160k service  Was intending to get Ford to do it, but their service now cost $725. Up about $100 from when I checked, when I did my 190k service about 5 months ago.

Check out the service book &/or glove box manual carefully. They usually have a 'Service Schedule' page or entry that spells out what needs to be done at what intervals, not just what needs doing at any given milage (or kilometerage - if that's even a proper word?!) So you can see that at every 5k you need to do engine oil & filters; 10k add air filter & check the brakes; 40k do the hubs & uni's, 60k dump & replace the diff & gearbox oil; & so on in the same vein - it generally doesn't start getting really repetitive until about 160k, so that might be why your book only goes that far - you then go back to the beginning & repeat! :p
An Ex-Service person is someone who thought enough about their country & how great it is, how lucky we are to live here, to write a blank cheque made out to 'The People and Commonwealth of Australia' for the value of 'Up to & including my Life!'

Hi Ranger 4x4 life,

Yes your manual only goes to 160K so then you start at the beginning again!!

200k - 160k equals 40k so you do the 40k service @ 200k

My PK has done 254k so my next service is 260k so I will be doing the 100k service!!

Do you understand what I'm saying??
