Is that front or back bearings?
If front, adjusted properly, has sufficient grease and it is changed periodically and no wide rime on the vehicle, the bearings should do 200.000km. SKF / NSK are good brands and probably what the originals are.

Rear is sealed and unless heavily loaded or been swimming they too should last close to the same distance.

thanks for the reply, its front left side..vehicle now doing only 90xxxKm.....surprising it gave out already, i don't know if the previous owner ever changed or greased them. How exactly do I go about greasing the bearing..does it have a grease nipple or do i have to apply the grease by hand?

Hi
Does any one have the correct torque for a PJ Ranger front wheel bearing, 3lt Hi ride 2x4. The workshop manual i font on Dropbox only shows 2x4 2.5lt standard hight which uses the tapered bearing like on a std stub axle like a trailer, 11nm. Repco workshop web help page that a mate looked up had 200 to 314nm, but thats for the drive shaft. so expecting that the 34mm nut would be bloody tight, i got a 2ft pipe on my Sidchrome breaker bar. but it wasn't 250 nm. so any help please. need today if possible. Using CBC bearing kit.FM123KIT.
Cheers
JC
