Just for general info, yesterday fitted second hand rims (CSA Jackals 16 x 8's) with near new GY Wrangler Duratracs (265/75).

The rims were +35 offset, so was a little concerned about that, but all good with 6mm spacers to front.
Tiny bit of contact on front skirts (both sides) when full locked, bit of hammer time and black spray pack today, all fixed.

Could have easily stayed +25 or even +20 and still been inside the wheel arches, though might have rubbed on wheel arches then perhaps.

Already had small lift front and rear, wound up LH HD torsion a smidge to rematch RH side, ended up with :

Ground to under centre of front wheel arches, was 870mm, now 925mm.
Ground to under centre or rear wheel arches, was 895mm, now 940mm.
Clearance under rear pumpkin, was 195mm, now 242mm.

So, off for a wheel align and balance tomorrow.

That looks really good mate!
It's amazing how much different your ute looks with the bigger tyres on it.

Ta mate, yeah, very happy with the wheels look, suit very nicely.
Just going to love the extra clearance and traction.

WA went ok today, they had to shim both sides a little, but at least now it's fully alignable.
After the initial lift, the RH side was 0.5mm out (camber + or - I think it was), but was so close left it and just rotate every service with no noticeable wear.
Now, they will be rotated same anyway, to ensure I get the most out of these wider ones.

Regs for mods on 4wd's are the same in all states now. Max 2" suspension lift, 2" increase in tyre diameter (1" tyre lift), and 2" body lift, Tyres must stay inside the body line and no rubbing. Also there is a limit on how much you can change the track width and tyre width - but can't remember off hand. Easy to google.

I always try to stay legal, don't care so much about my rig but the 1/4 million $$$ Ferrari you squash cause you couldn't see it is a bugger.
Regs are the same, but the cops are nicer over west. :thumb: Eastern states regulatory bodies are filled with ar5eholes. Cops, DOT, EPA, etc etc.

Finally changed out our tyres. 265/75/16 Kumhu ATs on the stock PJ XLT rims, stock height with some tweaked torsion bars, not to much though. I have taken the small section of of XLT mudflap off of the front and then trimmed the rear of the flare so its no where near the tyres.

Hi

Bassiclaly I've read the first 10 pages and there's so many mixed options
I have a 08 pj ranger it has stock sized tyres on ATM on 0 offset 15" king rims but I'm looking to upgrade to mud tyres

So need to no will 265/75 fit and will I be good to get 15" so I can use my rims I have ATM or should I just get full tyre package with 16" rims, and what offset if this is the case?

I have no lift and a arb bullbar, torsion bars haven't been touched but I will wind them up just don't have money for a lift ATM

Sorry to be a pain but so many mixed answers on this

Thanks

265-75-15 is the correct size however this size may require 15x8 rims - you better check if they will fit on 7" rims????

It seems hard to find 265/75 in 15" so I think I'll just get a wheel combo and have a spare set of road tyres

well it works so far.
31x10.5R15 on the work ute - standard PK XL 15" wheels.
no torsion wind, no reformed flaps, well within guards, no rubbing yet....
will see how it goes with some mild off road.
