Dmax audio harness

Unread post by Torr » September 27th, 2010, 11:30 am

Hi folks

I wish to change out the radio/cd unit in my 2010 Dmax spacecab for a pioneer one I have.
I would prefer to use a harness that plugs into the existing female 16 pin audio socket of the vehichle, as there isnt much cable lengh and has poor access to the existing plug to soldier on some flyleads.

Can anyone tell where I can find a male 16 pin plug harness
I know theres hundereds of plug types out there but surley some other vehicles use this plug arrangement not just the Dmax ?

I have tried repco, aeropro, dicksmiths, google and many others with no luck.
I'd rather buy an Fm transmitter for an mp3 player than hack into the oem harness at this stage.
Any advice would be geatley appreciated.

I had a Polaris unit installed by a local auto elec a few months ago. He found no aftermarket harnesses available and it had to be cut and spliced. We tried everywhere before cutting in. All works well.

I bought the harness your after from Alberts. Its for the rodeo. Same config and saved me from trying to work out the factory speaker config. about $20. I installed a DVD player (Eclipse). Hope this helps. Sorry about the late reply.

just fitted this one myself. Dmax harness same as Colorado

On removing the facia, I found it easier to remove the clock-4WD inserts then pull the dash from the top as opposed to the bottom like everyone suggests

Thanks for that.
I did scour the net and eBay back then to no avail.
Ended up tinning the pioneer radio fly Leeds and poked them into the vehicles plug. Works great.
