Dmax engine vibs

Unread post by dmaxbob » August 20th, 2009, 11:31 am

I have a new Dmax LS-U love the truck but notice the engine vibs a lot at 2300 to 2800 rpm - any one else with this issue.

This is the way they are I'm afraid.
Check out the Rodeo forum and you will see some issues with vibration.
Isuzu motors have never been the smoothest in the market but they are some of the longer living ones.
Why is common sense not so common any more?
RA08,40mm lift w/-EFS shocks, ARB Front and Rear bar, ARB canopy w/- Rhino Racks and basket, ARB Compressor,XGT's, GME TX3440, 60l Evakool in custom box, Safari Snorkel, Blue top Optima, home made awning, 265/75/16 ATZ 4 rib, soon to have airbag rear.

Thanks Huffy - The vibs were compounded by the resonance of the Safari Snorkel - now mostly fixed - the inclusion of a internal filter sock also helps heaps.

I also have fitted the Safari snorkel to my LS-U Dmax and have the vibration at 2200rpm and 2500rpm. Where did you get the internal filter sock and did you find anything else that helped?
