Would the suspension/frame/tc&esc systems still be the same between the models?
Not sure since it's a brand new vehicle and I haven't been near one to check it out yet. However from what I've heard they are still basically the same with I retuned engine.

Maybe someone could give you a better comparison new to old.

I've been using Nulon's synthetic for diesels, 5w30, for quite a long while now, maybe 120,000kms. Seems to go well, only do changes as per the book every 10,000km. Doesn't use any oil at all, now got nearly 170,000km on the odo

hi all, 1100km's on the clock now still very impressed with the new LS-T pics are still coming hope to have them up soon. a far better vehicle than my dads 2010 collie LT-R smoother and quieter all round. done both high way and around town averaging 11.4km/l at the moment. Does anyone know when ARB/TJM will be releasing bars for the new model? all i get out of my local dealers is they are on their way.

I'm waiting too walks. I was told by someone in ARB who should know that it is "very soon". That was a month ago though so very soon could mean anything. Loving my LSU by the way. Does everything I need and is a pleasure to drive unlike some truck like 4wds.

Apparently ARB are having some troubles with their bullbar/design for the new style dmax. Worth having a look at East Coast Bullbars, they just released their range of bars for the dmax. About $2,300 for an alloy winch bar bumper cut design.

All new vehicle compared to the old D-Max, engine has different injectors, front mount intercooler and revised engine internals. Suspension has gone to coil spring IFS and overslung rear leafs setup, chassis is different and apparently stronger, new 5 speed auto, more airbags with TCS and ESC , hill ascent and descent control and a few other bits and pieces can't think of atm.

Hi All,

I have had my LS-M Manual for a few weeks now and am loving it! Upgraded from a Ford Ranger (PJ) and the onroad comfort is just superb. One thing I do miss is the rev-ability of the Rangers engine as it was very refined and car like in its acceleration, but the lowdown torque (plus lower low range) of the DMax is a lot better off road and towing.

I have been trying to get a response from this company in Thailand regarding their bull bars, actually all the barwork they offer.

This looks like a great bar, as do the side steps so if anyone speaks thai or has some thai contacts perhaps a group buy could be on the cards if others are interested =D

Dipstick hard to read

Unread post by SuckSqueezeBangBlow » January 27th, 2013, 7:26 pm

My dipstick is hard to read, i'm guessing its the silly knob on the end which makes an unclean exit from the tube leaving oil along the edges of the dipstick.
Anyone else noticed this or have this problem?

Our LST now has 7k on the clock, we just got back from a great trip through NSW (no off road stuff unfortunately) which put around 3k on it.
It was great on the highway! So comfortable and super on the fuel, the last part, from Yamba to Brisbane according to the trip computer was done at 6.9 ltr/100km.

I like the canopy.

What brand is it?

Not really sure of the actual brand (Alpha i think), I got it through Caddy Storage at Browns Plains (Brisbane).

I was actually about to buy an ARB one but was shown some extremely bad customer service by a couple of outfits, this made me hunt around more.
I'm glad in the end because I think the one I ended up with is a lot better than what I was going to buy plus it was a little bit cheaper.

Ive got the dobinson 2" lift installed now. I gained a massive 81mm in the rear because it had sagged.
I weighed the truck, 2380kg.
