2012 DMAX

Unread post by crawla » March 27th, 2012, 8:03 pm

A pic of the new DMAX. A lot safer with more air bags, stability control and traction control. A little bigger inside too. Looks great I reckon. Will probably upgrade when it hits our market.

Looks nice, but looks like they copied the Current Ford Ranger and the power output of the 3ltr is not very impressive. A bit more torque would have been nice. I'll bet the price for these will be higher than what the current models were selling for. Nice to see a change in the interior though. I'll be asking my dealer when these arrive.

Looks better than the ranger I reckon. Yeah the pricing will be interesting.

Now ya got me comparing, still can't see the similarity..............colorado front end wasn't bad but is out dated I reckon compared to the dmax. The new colorado isn't bad but too yankee for me. May aswell put a few front ends up to compare

Just had a good squiz at the new - yet to be released - 2012 Colorado. No scoop - the inter-cooler is in front of the radiator(!!); huge underbonnet area (but no space for a second battery!) The 2.8l seems a little snappier than the 3.0l Isuzu donk (but it was empty - my Rodeo is not!). 2.5l will go in the 4x2s (no petrol). Wish-bones and coils (no T-bars!). Remember it will share the same floor pan as the new Dmax... This one had softer (made for Thailand) suspension, not what the real Colorado will have.

Why are all the new Utes styled likes this. The D-Max doesn't look to bad but I still would not buy it. The interior of the D-Max reminds me of the Bariana Spark. The Holden Colorado First Gen looks good but the second one looks horrible. Holden should of taken a different styling to the second Gen. The Mazda BT-50 looks as ugly as Dame Edna's ass. The headlights look just like here glasses to be completely honest. The Toyota Hilux looks good in my opinion as it hasn't taken the styling of the new 'Moon style headlights' like the other Utes. It has maintained the rectangular style which looks 100% better than the other ones. I liked the looks all the old version of the Utes, but I have to say, Mazda, Isuzu and Ford have been a major lt down. All of these utes could have a bit more torque though!

Looks quite good and from my understanding is going to be bigger than the previous model which is always good, finally there looks like being some competition with the dual cab utes, and some with slightly more room inside.....woud seriously be looking at the Colorado, DMax, Hilux and Amarok, although just not sure about the pricing or the Amarok and worried moreso about the repair and serving costs of having a VW 4x4 as good as the reviews are...

Yes, This is the reason I am upgrading to a 4WD. The room inside my Colorado is horrendous!

Yeah this is why i am still driving my 91 dual Cab hilux and the room inside for now, but as the family grows up a little i will be needing more room, but most ofthe current models are no bigger than what i currently have, although this looks to be slowly changing.
