Has anyone used Hub Centric Rings with steel wheels, CSA also can not guarantee against vibration

Hub centric rings,( if not affecting rim centre face seating) would be better than non at all. The rings would transfer any radial forces which otherwise would be totally taken by the wheel studs.

Many trucks with a gap around the hub step would not be operating in the best situation.

Guys I need some advise/conclusion before ordering.

Does tyres 265//70/R16 or 265/75/R16 fit the new Dmax without 2" lift ??? (AT or MT)
Or is 245 the max. !!

Are you going to use the same rims [ same offset] don`t own a later model but I think you would most likely be OK with the 265/70/16 ones, I would have my doubts about the 265/75/16 without a lift, I personally also think 265/75/16 are too big for this ute, but others will say different.

I’ve got 265/75R16 tyres on 16x8 rims with no rubbing at all with +30 offset and no lift yet :)

Hi Ango - the pictures aren’t the best, just off my phone but you get the idea that they fit okay.

Hi Guys,

So I'm currently running the 17x7 Mu-x rims with the stock 255/65 r17 bridgestone HT's. Looking at filling out the wheel arches now that I have just got a lift. Just curious, on the stock rims what is the largest size I can go without cause problems with it exceeding the rims size limit?

Hi Mate,

Are you in QLD? While legally you can go 50mm lift and 50mm increase in tyres are you aware that you can only legally lift your vehicle 75mm (lift & increase in tire size)?

With a 2in lift and the increase in tyre diameter your now at 78.3mm.

Anything over 75mm in QLD requires inspection by TMR.

Might want to look into that...

Hi Mate, could you provide a little more information/pic about the Fuel rims, model, or offset? Does it push the tyres/wheels right out to the guards?

Hi all,
I have a 2009 dmax.
I fitted 33"BF Mud terrains to mine. Needed to wind it up 2"s and trim the back side of the front arches slightly. Works beautifully on and off road. With standard and low tyre pressures. There's not much point applying a body lift as you can save some cash by just doing some trimming. They catch a small bit on the kick out of the chassis inside the wheel arch but we are talking about a few mm.

Hi Matt, any chance of getting some pics or info up of how you trimmed your front guards? I'm running 285's and need to cut them back due to rubbing aswell.

Cheers. Mark

Hey guys looking to buy a Dmax sometime soon, coming from a Ranger...

I'm hoping I can swap my Ranger wheels over -

They're 270/65R17 with 17x8 +35 rims... will these fit without a lift? Are they legal?

I also have a set of 265/65R17 tyres I could throw on the same rims, would they be any better?

Thanks so much!
