Just got a new set of 17" wheels with 265/70/17 muddys... Car is not lifted and stil has the factory bumper. It does scrub but only on full lock and onky just on the plastic inner guard. A little bit of cutting will fix this aswell as having a bullbar would fix the problem too.... Would post pics but have no idea how.

Warner, from what I can see they look good. Can you take a better pic so we can see them or tell us what they are so we can look them up or give us a link

Hey guys, sorry haven't been on here in awhile! Thanks for your comments I'll take some more pics and put them up. I'm not sure of the rim width or offset is off the top of my head but I'm running 265/70/17 tyres and they look pretty good they are fuel rims I got them from a place in Sydney. Sorry guys for the lack of information haha

Hi Guys,

Thanks to all who previously posted info about their new tyre sizes.......it helped greatly with deciding which way to go.

Attached are photos of the original 255/65/r17 tyres

Image

New tyres that are slightly bigger 265/70/r17 tyres. They are a "Summit Mudhog". Road noise is surprisingly low, about the same road noise as BF Goodrich A/T's I have had on previous cars.

I have a 2 inch lift and no rubbing or scraping of tyres

Thanks again to those who posted previously

Looking up the Isuzu site [what is my rim offset], they are saying a 2011 d-max has a off set of +38, later model use +33 . so I guess this is correct? http://www.isuzuute.com.au/owners/faq.aspx

Hi All. I'm new here and would appreciate some advice.

I have a 2014 D-MAX LS with the factory 245/70R16 tyres. I'm intending to change them out for something that's more all-terrain capable, but I'd prefer not to get new rims or lift the car. What's the biggest size I can put on without worrying about clearance issues, or should I just buy the same size to avoid any worries?

Thanks in advance.

I`ve been looking at buying a set of after market steel rims, but I have found all makers I`ve contacted use the Hilux centre bore size of 106.1mm not the D-max C/B size of 100.1 .Speedy wheels said I may not get any vibration issue`s but they can not guarantee it, and of cause it can not be balanced out, Speedy said they use spacers in alloy wheels but the metal is too thin in the centre of steel rims. They explained the cost of tooling is high so most makers [ can not find any who don`t] use the most popular size`s eg Hilux. looking like I will be sticking to the original rims

your best bet is probably 245/75/16 I'm not 100% but i think they will be fine, i run 265/75/16 which are a bit bigger on a 2 inch lift

Thanks Kellys_

So, definitely don't go wider, huh? I was thinking about 265/70R16, but I definitely don't want to modify anything. Is anyone running that size on a stock D-Max with stock rims?

Thanks mate but!
I did not want to go to +20 , only as far as +25 at most { to keep it near legal }, but king wheels only make the +20 in 16x8s, Speedy and CSA make +25 and Speedy will not guarantee against vibration, anyone run the CSA steel wheels, I will give them a ring next week to see what they say? the rims on my 2011 D-max are +38
