Hah... That looks almost exactly like a photo of my F20 scat on a trip to Landcruiser mtn park.. These little trucks sure did like to lift a wheel, Had mine that far over once, the roof mounted UHF mike, fell out the passenger window, No the truck didnt roll. But by christ it was a very close thing... I put a worked 2 ltr Escort motor into mine, worked real well with the low gearing the truck had ... "Sounded like a rally car at full noise " most of the time sure turned some heads.. But the rust got to much and she went to the scrappers..

Took it to Operation Drag a few times ( A Drag race event run by the local coppers, to get along with local car enthusiests / race on a strip instead of the street & also to race the coppers ) The O'l girl ran a PB of 18.8 for the 1/4 mile.. Flogged a turbo six cruiser that ran a flat 26 for the 1/4 ( think I kinder had the weight advantage on him..He was all mouth up untill the end of the runs )..realy was an absolute Fun machine to drive, Good usable power in a nippy / tuff package.....:thumb::D Ever thought a bout repowering the Zook...??? Wouldnt be that hard to give one of them a decent heart, We had a soft top Zook down here a few years back,That had a 13b Rotory - 5 sp in it.. not sure if was legal ( Probably not ) By Jeez it went ...He was one very game bloke .. No roll cage...

Looks like she's a nice clean unit there WAITESY,Got much planned for it ???, F50 you say, they were a 2.2 deisel with five speed box wernt they ???? A bloke some years back fitted a 253 Holden V8 into one of these. ( A range rover 3.5 would have been better, only for the weight factor ) . Yep a tight fit but had plenty of poke.... Had a two liter escort motor in mine but only had the four speed box.. They sure are tuff little trucks, Wish I still had mine... :waycool::D

AAHHH ! Wider diffs, Yep that is one thing these little trucks do need.. V6 power would be real nice too, Need to fit a second fuel tank though, found the range of mine was a bit short..You thinking Rocky diffs or hilux ?? with coils on the front... The only reason I say coils is they would fit out board of the chassis rails ( they are a bit skinny on width ), From memory the original leaf spring position on the front end and the diff centre of the wider diffs foul on the drivers side.. I did look into fitting rocky diffs and I'm sure that was the only drama other than flared guards, brake lines ,steering.. Should be a real nice truck....

2 mates and myself have just been given a scat, not sure what model it is. It seems to be a little different to the ones pictured - it's kind of like a style side ute. Mybe just looking at it wrong. It's a petrol of some description.
It's rusty as, so it will only ever be a off road toy.
We are planning on doing a spring over convo on it, What shocks should we get, We're hoping to just use parts from wrecker - we all already have other 4bies to blow our money on.
Any other hints or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Picks to come.
