Hey I have a 93 rv turbo rocky... It's great with loads of power and really tough... had it out for it's first real session yesterday at ormeu in qld.. went great although I need to do something about the suspension... It has a torsion front end and coil rear.. I know these are pretty rare as I have looked for parts from the rocky wreckers and they said they have never seen one for sale for wrecking or ever had one in there store.... It is great on road but has anti sway bars front and back which just sends your wheels spining offroad instead of putting the wheels down in the ruts... When I suss what can be done about this it should be pretty unstoppable.. Oh has a much wider wheelbase than pre 93 rockys...

Got One, 1993 F75. 2.8 TD.
Rescued it from a bloke who couldn't show it the care and respect it deserved. It is a beautiful thing.
Still working on improving it. And loving driving it.

I had an F78 Sportswagon.2.8 intrecooled Turbo Diesel.
Fitted with a 40mm lift by The Ultimate Suspension and a 90litre long range tank from Out Of Town 4wd.
Had it from new in 1998 before selling it in 2004 with 140,000km of great off roading behind it.
They are bulletproof.
Cheers,
Wilyum.

I have a 88 F77 tray, 2.8 desiel with 250 ks and 31 inch Maaxis muddies.
It has aftermarket am/fm radio with auto tuner (if carrying a passenger).

So far I have replaced the clutch, front wheel bearings, front pads, reco fuel pump, reco injectors.

Things to do are find new bolts so I put on 4wd locking hub back on, new front leaf spring for the one I broke being a dickhead in the mud, steering seals? need replacing.

We've had a rocky for about a year now. only just put some rego back on it. Now its getting a few mods. It was $150. Spent more on getting the exhaust fixed. Now its getting 31's and a body lift. Susp will be next.

Its our perfect little basher/hunting rig.

My first 4X4 was an 86 petrol. Extractors, white sunnies, Federal muddies. She was struggling when I got her but with a bit of work the little motor fired up and never looked back. I had some great fun.
Wish I still had it!
