Hi guys, just looking for a bit of help. 4WD stopped working on the 2001 jack and I found the wires to this pressure switch/sensor were broken. It screws into the transfer case, on the right hand side of the vehicle.
I managed to solder the wires back on but I predict the patch up work won't last forever, so I'll be looking for a new replacement.
Cheers

Oh yeah the much dreaded flux capacitor - on the ol Jackas - they all do that eventually! You'll be needing a sonic screw driver to change that out! ;)

Was your 4WD not actually working? Or was it just not indicating that it was in 4WD?

To me, that switch would be a position switch that senses when the transfer case is in 4WD. I'm not too familiar with your particular vehicle, but most have systems almost identical to each other. Is your transfer case manually controlled, or does it have a push button for 4WD engagement?

Transfer cases only have position related switches on them which makes fault finding a little easier i.e. No pressure switches etc.
