Does the throttle position sensor need to be calibrated?

Unread post by Lachnav » December 11th, 2015, 12:22 am

Hey all,

Does anyone know if the TPS needs to be calibrated/set?
My 2003 3.0D is going into limp mode and it's either the TPS or the EGR valve that's been welded up!

TPS was loose so I tightened it back up but not sure if it's in the right position or not.

If the EGR valve is blanked off and the solenoid hoses taken off is that a likely culprit as well? I read that it needs a hole to allow some flow on some folks Rodeos.

Cheers!
