RPM 2007 CRD Rodeo

Unread post by geko1 » March 8th, 2015, 12:06 am

I suspect that my tacho is reading slow. The instrument panel doesnt seem to be accurate. Im sure the speedo is way out judging by my speed read out and other traffic. I would like to know what your RPMs are at 100kph.
I have standard tyres and wheels.
Your replies greatly appreciated.

I have a 2011 Dmax with 245/70/16 and the revs at 100 is around 2000rpm when reading the speedo. ie actual is 5km slower.

Get hold of a GPS that indicates speed and use it to check your speed. Most vehicles read low, so general traffic tends to travel a couple of kms slower than permitted speeds or they travel a touch under the speed limits rather than be booked.

If you can get hold of a OBDII reader and Tablet/Ipad and check your tacho against that.
