Hey I am thinking of getting some 31" All terrains and some sunraisers just wondering what size sunnies you could recommend? I am thinking 15x7

I drive A 94 rodeo with no lift or anything yet.

I'd ask the tyre retailer. You'll probably get a discount on the wheels if buying tyres too.

To add to the thread, I now have 265*75*16 BFG AT KO under my 2000 model TF crew cab using the factory fitted sports rims. I added a 2" body lift to make them fit.

The only thing which may be different is the Dmax rims are 7" and earlier one may be 6.5", not sure, never checked earlier ones but just looking at them they may be slightly narrower.

Hi, i have brought a 1999 Holden Rodeo LT dual cab to get ready for camping/fishing trips with and want to fit a larger tyre on it i am after some peoples experiences with fitting a 15x8 sunraysia rim on with a -23 offset and some 31"x10.5" tyres? I know they would stick out past guard a little bit but nothing a flexi rubber flare wont fix. Rodeo came with 16x7 on it and after doing some research on web it is a little confusing as some say it will hit calliper and others have had no probs, i am only new to this 4WD thing as its my first purchase of such a vehicle and cant wait to mod it any suggestions and help much appreciated.

I live in Northern NSW Glen Innes so a lot of tracks to explore around my way and cant wait.

Oh it has no lift kit of any kind

Regards, Ben

What tyre size?

Unread post by BigDutchy » June 17th, 2014, 9:41 pm

What tyre size would you go for or what do you have...

245 70 16 = 29.5" Are currently on my "new" 1999 TD Rodeo. I would not mind going a little bigger. I have room enough to fit bigger but I am not sure what size to pick.
245 75 16 = 30.5,
265 75 16 =31.6" or
265 70 16 = 30.6"

Thanks

I had both 245 75 and 265 70 on the Colorado. More offroad bias I'd go the 245 with the bigger sidewall. More on road I'd go with the bit more stable 265. Good balanced size choices, any bigger and the drivetrain will start to struggle. If you want muds I think you'll be stuck with 245 75 if I remember correctly.

I am quite happy with my 265/75r 16, they seem to be quite good size as you get the longer footprint=better traction and running pressures that I like on road, the extra sidewall really helps to cushions alot of the bumps

Are 235's close to or just over 31" ? I know 265 75's are close to 31.5" in the old money....How does your car go with the bigger tyres?
Is your car a diesel?

Thanks
