Led driving lights IN an ARB bullbar?

Unread post by ev0lution » December 10th, 2012, 5:00 pm

I have just aquired an ARB commercial bar for a colorado. Was thinking of putting some led driving lights or spotlight bar in the gaps either side of the winch area.

Has anyone done this? Will it reduce air flow too much?

Just thought they were good sized gaps to put some in, the Hella and Narva ones ive found would fit like a glove....

The square holes either side of the number plate....

It doesn't matter if you have good coolant or just water, if the radiator cooling airflow is reduced, YES, you might have overheating issues. When just the plastic is there, there is far more area of air to flow to the radiator and the square holes are there to try and compensate for the loss of airflow.

The cooling air flow down low into the aircon and radiator cores is the airflow you most rely on in HOT weather as it is then the radiator is getting very hot at the bottom and the air flow can get rid of the heat to keep all systems working. Also help the auto fluid cooling if an auto.

The holes aren't there just because the factory had spare square holes and thought it was a good idea to put them in a bullbar!!!!
