Jackaroo cold start problem

Hi Guys im new to 4wding and need a hand. i have a 1982 holden jackaroo. i am having problems starting it on cold mornings. I have changed the glow plugs, oil and fuel filters and battery but it still doesnt want to run properly. it will start and then the idle will drop rapidly and it will cut out. it is a C223 diesel engine and 4 speed manual gearbox

any help is appreciated

Have you actually checked at the glowplugs that power is getting there and for the right amount of time? Check for fuel leaks it may be sucking air somewhere also check fuel delivery pressure is fuel pump OK is small strainer blocked on inlet side on fuel pump?
