2011VDJ76R LC winch cradle for genuine toyota steel bar.

Unread post by Normz » March 20th, 2013, 2:14 pm

Hey a guys need some help

I have a 2011 VDJ76R LandCruiser GXL Wagon and it has a genuine steel bullbar and I need to find a winch cradle so I can mount my winch. Any help in this matter would be great guys as I don't really wanna have to fork out for a new bar just yet.

I have rung toyota and they really haven't been helpful in this matter as they say the only one they have is for the allow bars.

Cheers

Ryan

I am in the same boat,

I also have a genuine steel bar on my 2010 76 series and it looks as if it is built to fit a winch with a steel plate in-place of the front winching panel and holes at the top for cables and controllers too. Probably best to head into your nearest ARB store and ask to speak to one of the machines to see if they've ever fitted a non-genuine Toyota winch to a genuine bar..

Would be interested if anyone else has done this.. I know a lot of people who have build up threads on their 76s have all replaced their front bars with ARB winch bars.

Hi i have a 2011 76 series wagon. I went through the same drama chasing the winch cradle for the standard bar.
finally got one $260 through toyota, that was 5 months ago, finally got around to mounting the winch only to find out the bull bar is an older bar. The blokes at toyota couldn't work it out but it doesn't have the mounting brackets to hold the cradle. Aparently they cost $300 per side and there is no gaurantee they will fit the bull bar. Toyota wont let me return the cradle because i bought it so long ago. I ended up mounting the winch to the bull bar. Its still attached which is good.
guess it will be going on ebay.
The part number for the winch cradle (if you have a standard bull bar) is PZQ2960460
hope this helps you not make the same mistake i did.
Cheers.

I'm looking at getting a winch cradle, you say that your car is a 2011 and the kit didn't fit.

I can only find this kit which says 2009 onward, http://www.newtowntoyota.parts/PZQ29604 ... t-Land-Cru

I have a 2007 79 series, and i'm trying to this figure out.

Cheers
