Hey guys...

As you can see I'm a woman The Finger... there's nothing stopping from me doing research on my future zook project - it's gonna be called Project Beaver Laughing

Okay, so I plan to do up a Suzuki Sierra - that is, if I do purchase one Laughing

What I would like to do is:
- New paint job
- 2 inch body lift
- 2 inch suspension or spring leaf lift
- lockers - which lockers are recommended for a Sierra?

Any more modifications you would recommend?

I'm thinking about getting diesel, but with the current diesel prices, so I think I'll stick with unleaded petrol for now - what are your thoughts on this?

Anything else you'd like to say?

Thanks in advance! Very Happy

Shez

Welcome to the forum

Firstly by diesel prices I assume you mean to transplant a diesel into a zook ;D they only came with petrol in aus

IMO you would be better trimming the guards than doing the body lift, I have 31s on mine with 2" springs and trimmed front guards, works well keeps the COG low

Diff locks, I would say ARB rear, traction control front. Weld em up if you dont drive on road much or like to replace centres every year or so :(

Other reccomendations, toyota axles, 37" tyres, longer wheelbase, rollbar, coils all round, rockhopper gears or dual transfers, bigger efi motor. but thats what I want not necessarily what you want :-\ ;D

A mate spent $1000 on his suzuki.
He must of got a fresh motor, it think, it hammers
-set of muddies $100
-homemade shackles (had some flat bar lying around)-
-welded up the rear diff
-bought a second hand OX hydraulic winch (found a toyota hydro sterring pump, made a custom braket for it so it only runs the winch)
-Made a tube winch bar for $100
-made a roll bar $200
TOTAL $2000
(it goes everywhere in the mud but it is not good for the ruts)

Lots of good Zooks in previous issues of 4WD monthly. I would look them up and give you the issue numbers but I am lazy!

I finally got my zook from Sydney!

Now I can get started on my project!! ;D

BUT

I gotta get funds first, then get the small stuff, then when I have the money, I can then purchase a motor and gearbox.

At this rate, it should be done up at the end of 2006.
