due to the new rules for the ASCC i need a new set of tyres.
been running the 38x12.5x15 TSL swamper which i love but the rules now state the tyre must be no bigger than 36.5" at 20 psi [winch challenge rules are 24 psi ] with the wheel off the truck.
The ones i have looked at so far are:
36.3" tsl 36x12.5x15.
35.9" tsl sx 36x12.5x15.
36.8" ssr 37x12.5x15.
36.8" irok 36x13.5x15.
36.8" bogger 37x13x15.
dont know what pressure these are measured at or what rim they were on.
anyone got specs or a link to get specs on any other traction tyres?
shane ???
A swamper will measure 25-30mm smaller in a bias ply, if it is just inflated on the rim to 20 psi, and not driven on, they increase the extra once centrifigul force is introduced.
This may be a way to run bigger, and keep spare new undriven for measuring, the other option too, is fit a secondair, fit the valve for it out the normal valve hole at 20 psi, and leave the tyre almost flat ;D
The IROKS suck, having seen them in the skin but the Krawler is quite a good looking tyre, and very agressive dont know what they measure in a 37 though.
A new 36x12.5 tsl looks the go, undriven, spare to measure, on the car if it were me.

have to agree, the 36 TSL is leading the pack since the boggers dont look so good for side slopes.
looked at creepy crawley but no sizes yet

have a look at the Q78 swampers. deepest tread of all of them, and is 35.5 tall and 10.8 wide.
Tread pattern of the q78 isnt as open as the 36x13 or 36x12.5 and being tall and skinny, they dont drive as nice.

10-15mmm....½" is ½"....IMHO if you can get some milled of fairly cheaply/easily the DO IT!!
As for the tyres - out of that list I'd be buying 36x12.5 TSL Bias (NOT Radial) every time......have I mentioned that I LOVE mine :-*
