Next mod isn't visible. Feral Errol & I installed a front Lokka one Saturday afternoon.
About this time I installed a Big Red on the tray under the brake booster..........can't find a suitable place for a tank yet.
Due to lack of spare cash I reused the old Uniden UHF out of the Patrol.

Custom stainless bracket between the seats. (Thanks HiLux Trev.)
Last weekend F.E. & I did the last mods to this date......

We also installed some 4" Lovells springs, custom wound for Hammonds in Brisbane which have only increased the spring rates slightly..........It now looks like this......

I've also bought a Jeep Bikini top with windjammer (back window) & toneau. Just need the little filler pieces that go between the roll cage & door window frame........if anyone knows of a reasonably priced source, please let me know.
Another mod not shown is the Calbah fuel tank protection. Bought second hand & strengthed by HiLux Trev.
We removed the spacers that had dropped the transfer case (to unsuccessfully stop vibes) after installing the SYE, so we found more than 2" of clearance. ;D

I've still got it, & I am thinking of lowering it, (2+2), as I have a 6'2" stepson turning 16 in August.......
To buy the Lib or early Imprezza I had planned will cost more than its worth, & its in very good condition mechanically.
So......

No, brake clearance probs., I think.
On a full size truck you are better off with the construction of a 16" LT tyre......will be either 8 or 10 ply rated in a 265/75R16, 285/75R16, 305/75R16, 315/75R16........avoid 265/70R16 or 275/70R16 for anything other than Soccer Mum duties.....
32,33,35/11,12.50R15's are only ever 6 ply rating.

Thought brakes would be too big ::)
Ive got 285/75/16 MT/Rs at the moment but just thinking for the future as 15s are cheaper to buy.
Sorry for the hijack..............Back to the jeep ;D

No apology necessary, in the tyre industry, retail price usually reflects the value, (does that make sense?)......16" tyres are the best thing that's happened to the serious off roader, esp the outback tourer. Durability, puncture resistance, comfort......16" in the correct size will provide it.
Light vehicles, Jeeps, Suzies, etc., however will probably find a 6 p.r., 15" better as the treadface will probably deform better!
i'm looking forward to checkin the new blu out on the weekend :)

Looking good there mate. Whose SYE and shaft did you use?

Although described to me as an Advanced Adaptors SYE, I'm pretty sure it's an Omix ADA........Driveshaft ? Didn't even ask, But its nicely made with Spicer D/C.....
Bought them from 4WD1 as EVERY Jeep specialist either wanted ridiculous prices, or had NO idea of customer service.
My inability to find reasonable freight for a heavy single item stopped me buying out of the States. This is something I may look at in the future.
4WD1, as usual exceeded the promises of service they made...which is just one of the reasons I will continue to sell their Shocks & other components.

I deal with them all the time too as I can get them cheaper sent down than picking up from Victorian outlets. The worst is USA4X4! $$$
