With winter on its way just a little note on what you wear when driving.
This comes about after a prang I came across a few years ago
The bloke had ran off the road in a heavy snow storm, and was knocked out. He had been driving with the heater on high and only wearing
A tee shirt he had been there for about 2hrs when I found him he was in a
Bad way from hypothermia. :o :o
I have always driven with the heater off in the cold country.
if you are dressed warmly it is not uncomfortable when you stop.
And it makes you feel more alive ;D
And at the end of the day it could save your life
Just my thoughts
Cheers

Or make sure you have warm clothes in the vehicle anyway, just incase you need to get out at some point ;)

I dress warm while I drive. It has a lot to do with living around Orange and having a '63 hillman Super Minx, which doesn't have a heater or fan. I wear gloves, jumpers and long pants as well as a beanie in Winter. And I keep a rag or some tissues to demist the window.
It's still warmer than riding the motorbike in Winter. I've had ice forming on my jacket and gloves and I also had to keep scaping the ice off my visor so I could see.

I've driven to and from work with my window down... I only turn my heater on to demist the front windscreen. My cheese hates driving with me for that reason. I would rather wear more clothes than have the heater on, the heated air makes me feel drowsy and also gives me sore eyes.
