First trip report thought i would give it a crack so go easy on me.

1st section
Well a few boys and i take of to coral bay every year for a week.
coral bay is 13hours or so north of perth. We try and vist somwere new for a night on the way up to break the drive up and then drive straight home.

This year we decided to go Via qoubba station then onto red bluff station.
Its about a 45min drive from canarvon to the blowholes and then from there about another 45min drive on gravel/dirt and sand road to redbluff.
The track wasnt to bad at some parts you could get upto 100kms so made the trip quite qucik and fun but usal sitting around the 70km mark.
Had to space the convoy out quite a distance as you would leave huge trail of dust coming of the bfg muddies.

2nd section

When the arived at redbluff around 4.30 which gave us time to check in with the very nice owners and have a good little look around.

redbluff is famous for its left hand surf break of the point it wasnt really working all the well when we were there.
Its a funny little sation with eco tents(look flash) hummpys and shacks to stay in or you can camp or drag a van in if ya really kean.

Just to give you an idea theres wild goats that roam around kangaroos that are very freindly and sheep there aswell lots of life and you feel very isolated which you are.

would of like to stay more than the one night to get a real feel for the place and a surf and fish in.

3rd section

When then arived at coral bay around 10.am for check in.

We tend to go up there for a relaxing time for a bit of everythink fishing, snorkerling, quad tours (awsome) 4wding and drinking at the best pup in the world for those that have been there will no what iam talking about with a breath taking view.

Fishing wasnt as good as last year we just went of the beach with minamal succsess. Whent out to the tracks and dunes for a bash and then to hit the beach but while me and a mate in a gq were smashing this steep sand dune trying to be the first to get up he smashed out his cv,s and that was the end of the day trip :(.

His car was carfully driven back to the caravan park doing 10point turns and grounded for the rest of the trip. I then drove solo finding a few new track and one monster hill climb.

We had to organise i truck to come pick my mates gq up from coral bay to truck it back to perth as we couldent fix it there. We finaly organised a truck for $500 (good i though) but we had to find a ramp or a way to get it onto the truck. We asked around and the locals at the pup reckon there was loading dock with some ramps somwere out near the air port what a mession to find that.

We had alot of fun out and about and is a top spot.

We left early saturday morrning to make tracks back to perth. We then figured that 3.30am depart 4.00am was to early because once out of coral bay and on the main road i hit 3 kangaroos in about 45mins and nearly missed another 4. I made the call to slow down to 70kms till the sun came up which made for a very slow tirering start to the morrning and with cows of the size i have never seen befor sleeping and crossing near the side of the road made for a very nervouse drive to canarvoon.

We arived home about 5.30pm very tired and with the memories of a good trip.

Great pics lloydy ,my mates and i have been going up to quobba station for the last 18 years and each time we find new spots to explore. When you guys go up next year try and get up to Gnarloo bay(futher 40min up the main dirt track). But this year were off to steep point (next weekend), like you ill post some pics when we get back. $500 back to perth from coral bay was a bloody good price.

Love these places. Grew up in WA and used to go to these same places every year or two. Especially Coral Bay and around Kalbari. Great places to relax and do some 4WDing.

Love your rig too Lloydy. Has got me keen to finally paint my rims black! Been putting it off but will now do it for sure. Looks mean. :)
