ok well while this really isn't a big trip like most of you have to me it was fun.....
Ok well after waiting for the brother in-law to meet up with me for months and get his 4x4 feet wet i gave up and did it alone.... i braved all the recent rains and armed only with my mobile a uhf and of course the trusty old pajero with factory locker off i set to explore some of the wonders just 5 minutes down the road.....
now while this is not really challenging to alot and most is only in 4H it was still fun and nice to be out there doing it!!!
Ok well i started off on Louies Ridge RD in the Ingala State Forest.
a few turns on to BlackFellows RD saw the mighty pajero and me attempting our first water crossing (i know not overly deep but to the sills was good for me!)....

Looking onto it...

Right in the thick of it

And Safely out the other side (strike another blow for the mighty pajero)

and on we went.......
insearch of a hill to climb and test out this low range we had heard so much about!
So we headed into Teagues Knob Track off of Maras Creek Road and after some small ish stuff and mounds we found the mother load stuck it in low and held on as the crappy excuses for A/T's tried to remind me they didn't like clay!!!
But with some more right boot we made it to the top without using the locker!!!! (Strike 2 for the mighty pajero)

Looking back down after the climb.....

looking back up from about 1/3 down.

unfortunantly the pics don't do it justice and there are no real action shots as i was totally on my own....but this was my trip exploring some of what my local has to offer!!!

Cool pics mate. I agree, pics never do a hill justice. Guess it's something to do with only showing a bit of the track when you know how steep the surroundings are.

Now go find somewhere to try out that locker!!

nice pics. its always a weird feeling going bush on your own, what with the should i/shouldn't i angel/devil thingys on your shoulder nagging you on, and rain always makes it even more interesting. i used to do it abit 10 or so years ago. do a couple of tracks on the way home from work, solo, then grab a few mates after they knocked off and do it again. you seem to push that little bit harder when there is someone else in with you, even if its still only the 1 vehicle and not mates following. i really have to get my POS back on the road, i miss wheeling. at least i still have the klx to keep my eye in on the dirt and go for an explore.

yeah last thing you want when on ya own is to be stuck middle of no where with no one knowing where you are hahaha although it'd make the handbrake happy.....i night or 2 without me ;)
