Just purchased a set of Billet Craft extended diff breathers but on inspection of the diff the breather, once the cap is removed, seems to be fixed and not replacable with the screw in fittings supplied. Has anyone else fitted extended breathers and how have they done it.

There should be enough of a spigot, once you remove the cap, to clamp a hose that you can run high in the car. No need to replace the breather spigot to do this. And although it is not barbed, if you do it up nice and tight they wont come off. Just make sure you have enough slack in the hose for all the suspension flex you get in a jimny.;)

Hi
Just some quick questions how did you go with the breathers? got any pics?
i just put some AVM freewheeling hubs on the front and noticed some small dints in the diff housing so that started the investigating bug & found . . . . . some grey crap where the diff oil should be.

Diff breathers went well. Got some 12.5mm internal diameter hose to fit over the diff spigot and a couple of adaptors for the billet craft hose connectors to insert into that hose and then ran their hose to the engine bay and inserted that into the filters. Don't know how to load photos but if you give me your email I will send them to you. Also, if you look at the billet craft web site you can see their product.

I just ran fuel line from top off diffs and also picked up gearbox breather and put mower fuel filters on the end and zip tied in top of engine bay at the back. total cost 8 years ago $21 an still no dramas. In saying that i check them every time im down there greasing etc etc.

I used clear hose to make inspection easy, and irrigation elbows for neat routing between the diffs and the engine bay. An aftermarket crankcase breather/filter at the end.
