I must say I have never heard of this problem on 60's before, nor have I had it happen to me.Replace the fuel cap for a start (non vented of coarse). The top of the filler is alot higher than even a full tank.Just make sure you don't have a leak elsewhere in the filler hose or a crack in the steel filler pipe and tank fitting.
Let me know how you go.
Cheers Andy

mine has never done this and its been on some pretty hairy leans to the filler cap side i also have a 190L tank in the rear and still never had it leek
so dunno hows it doing that i reckon might be split in the filler pipe or can you see it spilling out your fuel door onto your rear quarter??
Mine has only done it once in 7 years. Truck was parked on a lean on a stinking hot day just after I'd filled it to the brim, so no surprise that it leaked out of the cap. Never done it any other time, so I have no idea. For the record, mine's a 1980.

the great 60s must not be good at sealing the filler cap cause a few months ago my dad was driving mine up at bunyip,he was going up a rocky hill and the right wheels fell in a rut on the track and lost about 20 litres of fuel drizzling out of the filler cap.

Check the overflow return pipe is not blocked as fuel should flow back into tank rather than from the cap.
