I have a 2001 cherokee. any advice on some improvements i can do for more serious off roading. its standard at the moment

Jeezz how far do you wanna mod it & how much cash you got to do it......there are HEAPS of mods that can be done to the XJ......
There are 5½" suspension kits available, you can fit 35" + tyres, drop your diffratios as low as 4.56, add dual ARB diff locks, fit lower transfer case ratios, fitt bullbars, rear steps, swing away tyre carriers, snorkels, long range tanks and a range of engine mods.......just to name a few....

By all means hang on this board - but as an Aussie Jeeper I'd suggest you also visit the AusJeep Forums (http://forums.ausjeepoffroad.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi) - plenty of XJ's there that can help out.....
Also if your in the Sydney Area - stick you nose into the SJC meetings (follow the link in my sig for details etc)...
