hey there mate in reply to your question i have a sierra coily and they i think are a better car than the leaf sprung in terms of ride quality but the coil sierra as it was only built for 2 odd years are not as common. This is a problem cause there arent many is almost any realy good suspension set ups out there where as the leafy you can get just about anything so realy it depends on what you want to do with it before i rolled mine it was 2in body and 2in suspension lift and rear air locker with 30x9.5s and was quite capable but flex was not huge where as you can build a real serious leafy and i think probobly a lot cheaper. Also there is the issue of tranfer case coily is chain and leafy is gear meaning it is easier and lots cheaper to put reduction gears into a leafy.

in regards to a/c well i expect you realy want a bigger engine than the old 1300 to run it and drive i dont have a/c but i am sure it would sap a lot of power, power the 1300 just doesnt realy have

hope this is of some help
Cheers Josh

the leaf ones are so much better in modding potential it isn't funny. The suspension design on the coily is terrible, you can't lift them and get them to flex unless you go down the custom route. Their tcase is chain driven so you can't get lower gears unless you put a leafy t/case in.

The leaf sprung ones are easier to get decent flex out of, easier to gear correctly, easier to get aftermarket parts for, easier to find 2nd hand. A SWB car like a Sierra will never ride like a limo, you are sitting too close to the diffs so you will always have a harsh ride. The only way to change this is by having a longer wheelbase and again this is much easier to do on a leafy via either getting a LWB version or doing a RUF conversion.

They both have a chassis number, that's all you really need. :D

isn't the air con in the sierra activated by removing the roof?? or if you have a hard top, by opening the windows....
