NAVTRAC is a navigational event designed to be an introduction to navigational four wheel driving. The event begins at 6am on Saturday morning. 4WD's are started every five minutes from 6:30am onwards. The charted route takes approximately 10 - 12 hours and includes obstacles, checkpoints, observation points and a lunch break. Entrants are given 12 hours from your start time to complete the event, after which time you must take the shortest route to the finish. This is not a competitive event but rather an introduction to 4WD navigational events.

The event is run by Victorian Rovers (a section of the scout assocciation) but is now open to Members of Victorian 4WD clubs.

ok, I couldn't get to the site that you listed so a few questions for you.

How much to enter?
do you have to be a member of a club?
Are they teams or by yourself?
How do we enter?
How many cars can we enter?
And which rovers group?
What's for lunch? (not my question but it was on the list!)

and apparently that will do first up!!! :)

THe site appears to be working
http://www.manibobar.com/navtrac

Entry is $60, includes driver and navigator, additional passengers at $20. This includes spit roast dinner on Sat night.

You need to be a member of a club

It is run by manibobar region rovers (previously yarra valley cnetral region)

You can enter as many vehicles as you like, there ar not teams but if you wish we can start you one after another.

There is a lunch stop and you provide your own, probably at the Buxton Burger Road House in Buxton. Fuel avaliable at this point as well.

You can enter on the site.

normal vic roads rules apply, therefore your navigator does not need to be licenced, however they MUST NOT DRIVE.

Learners are not permitted to drive however.

hope this helps

Rovers still do mudbash, but with no buggies due to insurance currently.

Yes all vehicles entered in nactrac have to be registered and roadworthy. Normal vic road rules apply as we are on public roads.

Hope to get you unckles entry soon
