Now that is a good example of
Leanability – (adj) the degree of incline that can be achieved by an object before gravity takes over and a vertical surface comes into contact with a horizontal one.

that troopy is amazing, just seeing how close he must of came to tipping over. not bad.
how bad was it at the front of the 80 series though my comp doesn't show it up to well looks dark.
i would of thought it would keep goin dropping the ass down when ready or i suppose put it on its side lol.
you can't really see what it's like in front of the cruiser........ i'm sure if it was driveable he would have driven out of it.
i looked at the pic and saved it......... i straightened it up (the trees were leaning ;)) and drew a line from the outside of the passenger side wheel........ looks to me like he was awefully close to the point of no return.

80 series could quite easily go beyond a lean like that before falling over.
If there were not too many large obstacles in front of the passenger front wheel, its a simple left hand down, and slowly drive forward would correct it easily.
If too many obastacles in front, then simply right hand down and reverse out.
Still.., it looks good anyway.

No idea what was in front of me at the time although I do know the passenger side was about an inch from the dirt. The tyres were the only thing stopping it from going over. From memory though I think their was a 6 - 12 inch drop in the rut just in front of the front left tyre.
The guys I was with decided that backwards progress was more advisable than driving forwards and frankly I was happy to follow their lead.
If I'd been a little more aware of my wheel positioning and the way they were pointing then I wouldn't have been in that predicament in the first place. Still, we live and learn.
At the end of the day I got out without panel damage and the only dents were in my pride.

As for being diferant next time well I don't know about that as I have rolled the 60 series 3 times and still have not learned my leason because if it is still drivable it is still good but now beleive road building is good as last time I rolled it cost me heaps to get it back home.

i was thinking the same thing actually 8) 3 wheels on the ground.......
Pursued a troopie once - you want to talk leanability - the crazy bastard was fishtailing the troopy on bitumen and we were sitting back waiting for it to tip but it wouldnt. Then he went bush onto a minesite and hit a stack of pallets doing about 70. The front drivers wheel was about 8 foot off the deck but it still stayed upright! I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself - wish we had a video going.
Anyway the main thing was he got caught and no one was hurt!!

I know how you feel. Somtimes there's a point where gravity and subsequentail lack of traction dictates that you ain't going forwards or backwards. I'm just glad my partner in crime got rid of his 60 series and bought a Nissan (well a Maverick anyway) so there's no more photo opportunities displaying a Tojo pulling out a Nissan. That only ever happened cause he couldn't make it through the actual track in his tojo and was allready at the top via the sissy track!!! At least he gets to have a go at the real tracks since he saw the light and got a decent fourby ;D
