Basically get some State Forest maps and get the permits and head up to Mt Mee, Jimna etc etc etc. Or just take the drive to Landcruiser MP for teh day or weekend for some more controlled experiences.

G'day Luxute

There is a book available called Motorama's Dirty Weekends in South East Queensland. Costs $30.

Gives a good mix of trips, but whether they are 4wd drive trips will depend a lot on how the weather has been. Like today we drove up to O'Reillys via Duck Creek Rd. Apart from some clearance problems you could have taken your car up there. Yet after a shower of rain or a couple of storms you would need to work hard.

Have a look at their web site www.dirtyweekends.com.au (http://www.dirtyweekends.com.au)
