no, just the 3 speed 'box and whellie bars.
It hammers out of the box, and is tough as nails. I just thrash it and it takes it. If it was faster I couldn't control it anyway.
I've seen some aluminium (bling) parts around for it, but from what I'm told the plastic parts that come with it take a knock better and are lighter anyway.
Hope this helps

Nice Savage!!
Although I prefer Electric... Not as much mess as the Nitro..

the batteries that are sold now for the bigger dollar rc's are more advanced and will last almost as long as a nitro rc.

With a decent Charger and a set of 3 3000mah or more rated Batts You can drive all day long... Charge 1 run 1 cool 1... and the down time in between allows the motor to cool down.

Nitro is fun and pretty quick, but the Savage Flux, the electric version is faster and won't piss off the neighbours. It also works each time you go downstairs to play, it doesn't stink out your car as you drive to the local track and is more reliable.
Pick up a couple of spare 6000 mah batteries and you won't have to recharge, you'll get bored before they run flat.
But that setup will cost more than a nitro car. There's some cheap brushless rigs on eBay that absolutely fly, look for something that says 4S as the ESC rating and it will outrun a nitro rig.
$150 for charger, $200 each for batteries, $1200 for the brushless Savage.
