hello everyone, I got some serious issues with my 2H oiler.
I rebuilt it about 10,000 klms ago, it overheated big time all water drained into the pots and engine oil , thinking that it was the head gasket after i had an attack of the lazy bastard and didn't retorque the head bolts after 500klms:crazy: i replaced the head gasket oil and all filters, ran it for half an hour but alas the problem still existed:cry:. Consulted a diesel fitter who said it sounded like the head was warped or cracked :thumb: . so i pulled it down and found no warp but some small cracks around the preheat chamber areas of pots 2,3,5. so then purchased a new head (fully reconditioned) oil, filters etc etc, bolt it all on, but alas the problem still exists massive overheat, all the water into the oil:cry:. what do you guys think it could be. We are moving to cairns in january and the old bus is our camping bus and tow vehicle and don't really want to part with it. we are also running out of money and the handbrake is getting real snakey i can tell you.

you may have cracked the galleries in the block or the top of the block might be warped.

Good advise do you clean ALL of the head bolt holes even run a tap down them and check your block for true if you don't have a manual ask and someone or myself will post it up

is it an early 2h or a late 2h without sleeves check for cracks in the bores. check the oil cooler also check the welsh plugs. my old mans 2h done a welsh plug in behind the push rods and pumped the coolant into the oil.
