hilux dual mass clutch?

hi all, i have a 96 extra cab hilux. do i have a dual mass clutch? mine is buggered can a put a normal one in it? ive heard they are better and cheaper, i got quoted 1500 for a new dual mass clutch installed!!!!!

No. 96 luxes have the 5L-E (i think) which has a solid flywheel

I would talk to Exede... they helped me out with my lux when I was replacing the clutch and I can't recommend there product highly enough

...and the clutch isn't dual mass the flywheel is, so see what they have to say about your model.

As far as I know, all the Aussie spec Hiluxes have normal flywheels and the Imports have the dual mass.
