Rear Detroit locker cost me bout $700 delivered off Summit racing back when the $ was good.
Spent the sarvo fitting the Detroit locker, took me 6hrs + some running around chasing up bits and pieces.
Diff carrier bearings> Toyota wanted $230 for 2 LOL are they gold plated!!! Ended up taking a grinder to one my gear pullers to remove the old carrier bearings and oil bathed the bearings on the BBQ in a pot with some HPR30 and slipped them onto the Detroit carrier, then spent a bit of time sorting out the Backlash and gear pattern.
The old diff had 220,000km on the clock as far as I know. Ring and Pinion look mint and the carrier bearings were Ok too. \
On that Note I have a Toyota Hilux 8” LSD carrier/centre (suits 50mm carrier Bearings) Free to anyone that wants it. (Carrier only ring gear not attached) Im In Perth.
