going to do an SAS conversion on the lux next year, im thinking about using ifs rears on the front, they are considerably longer than the older model lux front leaves, so should give more travel, just be interested to hear from anyone thats fitted these to the front of a lux, also i want to improve the flex in the rear, can anyone suggest what i might be able to source some longer rear leaves from for the rear

I'm thinking the same thing for next year but I think I might try and do a 3link with coils for better ride and articulation. For the rear can u put a 4runner coil sprung set up in??? then u can use airbags Now wouldn't that be awsome!!!

i think converting to coils would cost more and be more effort than its worth, i reckon with the right leaf springs i should be able to get good results

Dropped front hanger and with your current rears up there. Some EA falcon springs in the back, they are longer again. Or pay for some custom leaves to be made up at about $100 for each main leaf then add your own to suit outta other packs..

ea falcon springs should be easy to come by and cheap too, might look into that

You will need crossover and all that for the dropped hangers though

Ford's still use leaves on their wagons. As far as i know, the only leaves on fords have been on wagons and utes since the EA. All sedans have had 4 coils since 88.
