Hi All,

My young bloke just bought the first edition of the flying scotsman model recently advertised. He is fully aware of the fine print -- over $1800 to complete the model over more than two years.

Apparently the project sparked enormous interest and many newsagents could not get hold of enough "no 1 editions".

Meanwhile, I am waiting for my "fast electric parcel van" from Berg's hobbies. The son's eureka models nswgr cph railmotor still hasn't arrived....

We had that model series in the UK a couple of years ago, I was going to buy it each week for my dad as he is a huge steam enthusiast and took me on the footplate of the Flying Scotsman when I was a kid, but when I saw how much and how long I new that halfway through the local news agent would stop stocking it and I would have to subscribe, not an option.

I hope he gets to complete it.
