Some people say there is a difference between front and rear diffs on Suzuki LJ's. Though I can't see it myself. It be cheaper to build them alike.
If anyone knows any reason why I shouldn't marry (oops)I mean fit a front LJ diff to the rear, please speak now, or forever hold your peace... if I have already fitted it :)
The only reason could be some strength issues, as rears are under more stress, more often, but fronts will have had less abuse, and be less worn. (I think)
So if theres any differences known, please let me know, thanx

Thanks, mate, I like good news. ;D
I am hoping to use 2 fronts as they should be in better nick.

The only thing to watch out for is if u get a diff from a wide track, they r a different ratio (someone correct me if I'm wrong) from the narrow tracks..

also the narrow track front diff is supposed to be stronger than that out of the w/t...

I not know much about the LJ stuff, but the early LJ50 is 4:9
the LJ80 is 4:56 and later LJ80's/stockmans had larger rear axles, same as the 1.0 sierra.
