View Full Version : Power steering on my 45

G'day all, having just overcome my engine problems, I'm now concentrating on what to do next, and I reckon fitting power steering to my old cruiser is the go, especially since a fat set of muddies is on the list. Now, just wondering what setup is best, the 40/45 series setup from '82 to '84, or maybe 60 series gear, or even some stuff from a 75 series.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance :)

The 40 series if you can find it would probably be the best easiest option.just make sure its off a diesel as well that way it should all bolt straight up.I have also seen falcon and holden setups adapted to cruisers.

Thing is, I'd like to get rid of that relay rod that runs from the manual steering box and a 60 series setup would be good this way, but the shock mount needs to be moved :-\
Also, I've gotta figure out where the oil pump needs to go, I was thinkin next to the alternator?

Has anyone else done something similar on a H motor? ??? ???
